Interaction/Visual Designer

You’ll be responsible for figuring out exactly how users will experience the product ideas we’re executing on. We operate in a highly collaborative environment and you’ll be right in the middle, helping us incorporate requirements from constituencies across the team into an approachable and engaging user experience. You’ll need an uncanny combination of design ability, communication skills, and insight into user psychology.

Responsibilities

• Craft clean, usable, consumer web interfaces for mass market consumption from functional requirements
• Deliver visual mock-ups to consolidate product vision across the team
• Work with the product and engineering teams to achieve the ideal user experience while minimizing implementation time and ongoing maintenance overhead
• Provide a consistent look and feel to the user interface across the site

Requirements

• Strong portfolio featuring interaction design samples
• 2+ years of designing web and/or desktop experiences
• Excellent verbal and visual communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree

Bonus

• Formal training in HCI, Cognitive Psychology, or user-centric design
• Experience implementing user interfaces
• Mastery of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
