Game Designer

Responsibilities

• Create game concepts and specify gameplay, features, and mechanics
• Model complex game interactions in Excel
• Analyze data collected from gameplay and make adjustments once titles are launched
• Determine our games’ themes and write engaging narrative to match
• Work with the rest of the team to see designs through to production, then test, analyze, and iterate!

 
Requirements

• 2 years of experience designing and building games; at least one title shipped
• Fully up-to-date with latest developments in game design and a thorough knowledge of video game history
• Understanding of casual gamer psychology – why they play and when they pay
• Expert with math and formulas in game environment
• Strong knowledge of game balancing and pacing
• Expert at Excel/spreadsheets
• Experience or knowledge of traditional board game, card game, or dice game design
• Passionate gamer
